The Pit Stop is your chance to gain expert perspectives from our teams on the track! Today, hear from CEO Tina Kuhn on leadership, technology, and what real growth looks like.
What drew you to Vetegrity at this stage of its growth?
Vetegrity has built an impressive foundation over the years with prime contracts at two federal agencies and strong subcontractor positions. What really drew me in was the combination of a strong leadership team, deep customer relationships, and a clear opportunity to scale. With that foundation already in place, I see tremendous potential to accelerate growth while continuing to deliver high-impact solutions to the government.
What are you most excited about looking ahead to the future?
What excites me most is the opportunity to build on the great work that has already been done here. Vetegrity is positioned at the intersection of mission delivery and technology innovation, and that is where many of the most important government challenges exist today.
With Mark moving into the CTO role, the company will have an even stronger focus on technology and innovation. His deep understanding of our customers and mission needs will be invaluable as we expand our capabilities and pursue new opportunities.
How do you balance growth with protecting the company’s culture?
That’s a great question, and one that is very important to me. Growth should enhance a company’s culture, not dilute it. One of the benefits of growth is that it creates more opportunities for employees, new roles, expanded leadership opportunities, and the chance to work on new and exciting missions.
At the same time, we want to preserve the qualities that make Vetegrity special: collaboration, accountability, customer focus, and the entrepreneurial spirit that has helped the company succeed. My approach is to understand what makes the culture strong today, and make sure those values remain central as we scale.
What strengths do you see in Vetegrity that position it for long-term impact?
There are several strengths that stand out. First is the experience and commitment of the leadership team across delivery, technology, and business development.
Second is the company’s track record of delivering results on important government missions.
Finally, the organization has a strong entrepreneurial mindset. The ability to move quickly, innovate, and adapt to changing customer needs is a major advantage in today’s federal environment.
What role will innovation and technology play in Vetegrity’s future?
Technology is a critical part of the future of government services. Agencies are looking for partners who can help them modernize, bring commercial technology, improve mission outcomes, and operate more efficiently.
With Mark focusing on technology as CTO, we have an opportunity to further strengthen our technical capabilities and align them closely with mission needs. Our goal is to combine deep mission understanding with innovative technology solutions that help our customers succeed.
What does “growth” mean for Vetegrity over the next several years?
Growth means expanding our impact by pursuing new contracts, entering new mission areas where our expertise can make a difference, and continuing to deepen our partnerships with existing customers and teammates.
Growth provides a means to invest in our people, building new capabilities, developing future leaders, and creating opportunities for employees to advance in their careers while contributing to important government missions.
How can employees contribute to Vetegrity’s next chapter?
I encourage everyone to continue bringing forward ideas, focusing on delivering excellent work for our customers, and supporting each other as we grow. Our success will come from the collective talent and dedication of our team to both our customers and Vetegrity.
What excites you personally about leading Vetegrity?
What excites me most is the opportunity to help a strong company reach its next level of impact. Vetegrity has a talented team, meaningful mission work, and a foundation that many companies strive to achieve.
Helping the organization grow, creating new opportunities for employees, and supporting important government missions is a very motivating combination.
